Australia '96
In June of 1996, a group of 27 teenagers and 3 adults from the San Antonio,
Texas area went to Australia and New Zealand '96 courtesy of the People To
People Student Ambassasdor Program. I, being one of those teenagers,
decided that we had such a good time that I should put a web site up about
it so others can share our experience and maybe be motivated to learn more
about participating in this wonderful program.
This website is a day by day account of our adventures there. We spent
about 2 weeks in Australia and then spent one week in New Zealand. The
three weeks that it added up to were by far the best three weeks of my
life. So go on, learn, have fun! And consider getting more information
because People To People holds these kinds of programs in virtually every
city or county in the U.S.A. and includes grades 7-12.
As hard as I tried not to do so, I wrote a lot of this from my point of
view, which judging from experience is not often others' point of view.
I apologize for any of this phenomenon, but I tried as hard as I could to
give a general view of the experience. (Note to anyone reading this who
went with me on the trip- first of all,
email me! Let's catch up! Second of all, please send me any special
memories you would like included!)
Without any further delay, click on the arrow and go on in or go to the
TABLE OF CONTENTS to find out about a specific day!
I hope you learn something.
